Motorcycle taxi to Bangok’s Chinatown
Motorcycle taxi to Bangkok's Chinatown from Jim Newberry on Vimeo.
Will be posting Chiang Mai photos soon, but Bangkok KEEPS PULLING ME BACK IN. Almost forgot about this video I shot on a motorcycle taxi that took me to Chinatown, where I shot the photos I posted a few days ago. Regarding the shaky handheld camera work–I was hanging on for dear life with one hand, holding my heavy DSLR with big zoom lens in the other. Next time I’ll hire a dude to sit on my shoulders and hold the camera for me. That ride was one of the funner/scarier things I’ve done in a while.
Update: I meant to mention before, this was speeded up in editing.
Update 2: Here’s a picture of the bike and driver immediately after the ride:
Bangkok, Tuesday
These were all shot last Tuesday. This should be the last set of Bangkok pictures for a bit, Chiang Mai photographs up next.
Bangkok, Monday and Tuesday
Bangkok street pictures from earlier in the week. No cat pictures in this post, promise.
New travel blog, PatrioticEarthling.com
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I’ve left Chicago and am traveling for a while, first stop Bangkok, Thailand (on my way to Chiang Mai), where I shot this portrait. I plan to continue posting photos here at PictureDujour.com, but I’ve started a new blog, PatrioticEarthling.com, specifically for my nomadic excursion.
My Journey begins; first day in Bangkok
Here are pictures I shot yesterday–the first day of my nomadic excursion–on and near Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok. Stay tuned, lots more to come! (Still putting finishing touches on the blog design, but wanted to get some pictures up asap).
